Discover what makes Kiwi Explorers a joyful place for your child’s early learning journey.
“When kaiako nurture tamariki interests, we grow and learn together.”
“To create a place of whānaungatanga for our community.”
We believe in the magic of learning through play and discovery.
When kaiako nurture tamariki interests with warmth and caring, adults and children grow and learn together.
We provide a stimulating and safe environment filled with aroha that encourages challenge and growth.
Every physical experience gives children the perceptual knowledge that supports later abstract thinking.

Active curiosity, 2.5–4 years
Toddlers are active, curious and making sense of their world. Our kaiako follow their interests and create opportunities for new and repeated learning experiences.
Environment + language = understanding

Transition to school, 3.5 years–school
Our play-based curriculum helps children explore and understand the world. Tuakana and teina group times build literacy, mathematical thinking and the social skills that make the move to school feel exciting.
Aotearoa’s early childhood curriculum guides these four connected principles.
Tamariki create and act on their own ideas, developing knowledge and skills in areas that spark their curiosity.
We consider how each tamaiti’s learning connects with every part of their growth: mind, body, heart and spirit.
We foster tamariki wellbeing by embracing whānau and building aroha-filled connections across the child’s world.
We build high-quality relationships through open communication, trust, respect and genuine manaakitanga.
